ถ้าใครกำลังหา “น้ำตกนครนายก ที่ไหนน่าเล่น” แบบไปเช้าเย็นกลับ เราว่าคลองมะเดื่อเป็นตัวเลือกที่สนุกมาก โดยเฉพาะสายพาหมาเที่ยว เพราะบรรยากาศคือธรรมชาติจริงๆ น้ำไหลเย็น (เย็นแบบแตะแล้วสะดุ้ง) และมีหลายสวนให้เลือกนั่งพัก ทริปนี้เราเลือก “สวนดารา” เพราะทางเข้าคลองมะเดื่อบางช่วงเป็นหลุมลึก รถเตี้ยๆ ต้องค่อยๆ ขับและระวังใต้ท้องรถ ใครไม่มั่นใจแนะนำขับช้า เปิดไฟฉุกเฉินได้บ้าง และพยายามหลบหลุมทีละจังหวะ ถ้ามีผู้สูงอายุไปด้วย การได้นั่งซุ้มใกล้น้ำช่วยให้ไม่ต้องเดินไกล แถมมีร่มเงานั่งสบาย เรื่องน้องหมา: น้องหมาเข้าได้ฟรี แต่ควรเตรียมอุปกรณ์ไปเองให้พร้อม เช่น สายจูง/ฮาร์เนส (ตรงโขดหินลื่นมาก), ผ้าเช็ดตัว, ถุงเก็บอึ, และขนมล่อเวลาตื่นเต้นเกินเหตุ จากประสบการณ์ ถ้าน้องหมาคึกมากแบบ “หมูทะ” ควรเลือกเล่นบริเวณน้ำตื้นหรือปลายน้ำตามกติกาของสวน จะได้ไม่รบกวนคนอื่น และปลอดภัยกว่า เพราะบางจุดน้ำไหลแรง/พื้นลื่น มีจังหวะเกือบไหลไปกับน้ำได้จริง ถ้าน้องหมาสายคุณชายแบบ “ชาบู” ที่ไม่ชอบเปียก แนะนำให้พกเสื่อหรือเบาะนุ่มๆ ให้นอนในซุ้ม อยู่กับครอบครัวได้แบบไม่ต้องลงน้ำก็แฮปปี้เหมือนกัน หลายคนอาจสับสนชื่อสวนแถวนั้น เช่น สวนลุงพร/ห้องพักสวนลุงพร ฯลฯ เราแนะนำให้เช็กก่อนไปว่าอยากได้แบบ “เล่นน้ำวันเดียว” หรือ “ค้างคืน” เพราะบางสวนมีลานกางเต็นท์หรือห้องพัก (ราคากับเงื่อนไขอาจเปลี่ยนตามช่วง) ถ้าคิดจะค้าง ให้โทรถามเรื่องห้องพัก ห้องน้ำ จุดอาบน้ำ และกฎเรื่องสัตว์เลี้ยงล่วงหน้า จะวางแผนง่ายมาก ท้ายสุด ทริคเล็กๆ สำหรับสายเล่นน้ำตก: ใส่รองเท้ารัดส้นกันลื่น, พกถุงกันน้ำสำหรับมือถือ, และอย่าลืมเสื้อคลุมกันหนาว เพราะน้ำเย็นจนขึ้นจากน้ำแล้วสั่นทั้งคนทั้งหมาได้เหมือนกัน
