I definitely have, and it can feel really overwhelming, especially if you’re in a noisy or busy environment. One of the best things I've found is using simple techniques that calm the nervous system, like deep breathing exercises or stepping away from the source of overstimulation for a few minutes. For example, I often use the 4-7-8 breathing method: inhale deeply for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and exhale slowly for 8 seconds. It helps reduce stress almost immediately. Also, reducing sensory inputs by turning off background music or moving to a quieter place can make a big difference. Apps like CapCut can even help create relaxing videos or soundscapes to use when you need to decompress. Another tip is to prepare ahead if you know you'll be in stimulating environments. Wearing noise-cancelling headphones or carrying a small comfort object sometimes helps me stay grounded. Remember, recognizing your own limits and allowing yourself time to recover is key. Don’t hesitate to communicate your needs with others if possible—sometimes just letting people know you need a moment can make things easier. Ultimately, managing quick overstimulation is about finding what soothes you best, whether it’s through mindfulness, physical activity, or creative outlets. Everyone’s experience is different, so try different methods to see what works best for you.
