This book was highly entertaining from the first page. I loved the dynamics of the main characters and how accurate the Con culture portrayal was! The FMC was extremely relatable with a strong, feminist voice. Original premise, action oriented, great plot twists, and a quick read.
Barb (Barbie) is a 40-something actress best known for the series of horror films from her twenties where she starred as the final girl/scream queen lead opposite of a slasher villain known as "mirror man". She wants nothing more than to separate herself from her horror-bimbo public persona, but when an anniversary reunion tour draws her back in and a copy-cat killer strikes, it's all a screaming, down-hill spiral from there.
*As expected for a horror novel, lots of gore and violence. Also some body dysmorphia, toxic relationships, and dealing with trauma.
