Unisex fragrance: time to stop gendering perfume
I’ve never really thought of perfumes as for men or for women.
Some just feel right the moment you wear them.
What I tend to look for is balance,
something that sits comfortably in between.
These are four I keep coming back to:
▪️ Diptyque Eau Rose
This is probably the easiest one to wear.
It’s a rose, but not in a traditional way.
Never too sweet, and always appropriate.
▫️ Le Labo Baie 19
If a scent could be abstract, this would be it.
Juniper, patchouli, mineral notes.
It's for someone who doesn't need to please anyone.
▪️ Bottega Veneta Pour Homme
Soft leather, woods, a little smoky.
Technically a men’s fragrance,
but I never think of it that way.
▫️ Kinfolk Captain’s Bar
Warm woods, a hint of spice, slightly boozy.
More atmospheric than wearable sometimes.
Not my usual, but I like it in the right mood.
If you’re looking into unisex fragrances,
these are worth looking into.
