A fish tank that heals the mood
A few days ago, my other betta fish, Mr. Noah, sadly passed away from dropsy, a common but untreatable condition once symptoms progress to the “pinecone” stage. I did everything I could to help him feel better, but there was no cure. After he passed, I decided to repurpose his tank water for my outdoor and bamboo plants, as it provides excellent nutrients for plant growth. I didn’t want the tank to go to waste, so I went out to get another betta fish to take over his space. Watching a betta fish explore its home is something I truly enjoy.
Recently, I visited New York to see my brother, whom I hadn’t spoken to in a long time. While there, I found a local shop in Queens called monster Aquarium in Flushing ny Flushing , which had a wide variety of fish, including bettas. Although the store had some very pricey bettas—ranging from $9 to $20—I opted for a simpler and more affordable one, as I was on a budget and had previously lost an expensive betta.
I ended up purchasing a vibrant orange crown-tail betta for just $5. His spiky, unique fins stood out, and he seemed healthier than the others in the store. It feels great to give him a new, clean home instead of leaving him in the small, cramped containers he was kept in. Betta fish are not only beautiful but also incredibly therapeutic to watch. I love my new fish already, and I’m glad he’s settling into his tank. #aquatic #bettafish #Lemon8Diary #lemon8viral #lemon8creator
