NYC said “PRIDE,” and I said “Bet.” 🏳️‍🌈🗽

Every year, I make it my mission to hit up NYC Pride — one of the biggest, boldest Pride events right in the heart of Manhattan 🌈🗽

What I love most isn’t just the shows or the history (though that’s major). It’s the energy — seeing people from all walks of life come together. Different races, identities, expressions — all showing up as their full, authentic selves. It’s loud, it’s proud, it’s beautiful.

From the pier to the Village to Washington Square Park, the whole city turns into one big celebration 🎉 You got people dancing, linking up, just vibing. Bars packed, lounges lit, even folks hustling nutcrackers out of coolers on the street — it’s a whole experience.

But if I’m being real… I hate how drama always tries to creep in. Fights breaking out, tension rising — we’re supposed to be here for joy, not chaos.

Let’s remember what Pride is really about: community, freedom, and being seen. 💖✊🏾

... Read moreNYC Pride is more than just a festival; it's a vital representation of love, acceptance, and solidarity within the LGBTQ+ community. Each year, millions gather to celebrate their identities and honor the history of the movement. Parades, performances, and events span across the city, creating an electrifying atmosphere filled with color and joy. From the first Pride marches to today's grand celebrations, the LGBTQ+ community in NYC continues to break barriers and foster inclusivity. In recent years, NYC Pride has also focused on emphasizing the importance of mental health resources within the LGBTQ+ community. Events, workshops, and speakers address topics that are crucial for personal growth and vulnerability. This year's theme focuses on empowering voices and creating space for underrepresented groups to be heard. By sharing our stories, we build a stronger and more connected community. Remember, Pride isn't just a month of celebration—it's a reminder of the ongoing fight for equality, acceptance, and rights for all. Engaging with events like NYC Pride helps to amplify causes such as equity in healthcare, education, and legal rights. As we gather in celebration, we must also commit to supporting these crucial issues year-round. It's our responsibility to ensure that every person feels seen and validated. So when you head to NYC Pride, take a moment to reflect—celebrate your identity, embrace the diversity around you, and continue to advocate for love and acceptance in all forms. Whether you're attending your first Pride or your fiftieth, each experience holds the potential for growth, connection, and change.

Train tracks stretch into the distance, flanked by dense green trees, leading towards a rocky mountain under a cloudy sky. This represents the Metro-North route to Cold Spring.
A white sign with green lettering reads 'Cold Spring' at a train station platform, with a Metro-North Railroad logo and a warning symbol visible.
