Woman down
Now why did my trainer catch me at the moment my soul left my body? After 100 pull-ups 200 push-ups 300 Squats 😭#strongblackgirl #fitnessforbeginners
You know that feeling when you've pushed your body to its absolute limits, and for a moment, you feel completely drained, yet utterly alive? That's exactly where I was after my last session. My trainer had me doing a beast of a circuit: 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and a staggering 300 squats. By the end, I was truly a #Mandown, collapsing in a heap, feeling every single muscle scream. It reminded me of stories from those who conquer challenges like 'The Murph' – that point where you wonder if you can take another rep, but somehow, your body finds a way to push through, even if it’s just barely. It’s not just physical; it’s a mental battle. Your mind screams at you to quit, to just lay down and give up, but your spirit pushes back. That moment of absolute exhaustion, when your 'soul leaves your body,' is precisely where real growth happens. It’s where you discover a reservoir of strength you never knew you had. For me, it felt like hitting a wall, a complete system shutdown, but in the most profoundly satisfying way. It’s the kind of intense sensation that makes you feel incredibly connected to your own body, acknowledging every ounce of effort you just poured into your workout. Being a woman dedicated to fitness, especially a #strongblackgirl, means breaking barriers and redefining what's possible, not just for yourself but for others. It's about embracing the sweat, the struggle, and the incredible satisfaction of becoming stronger, not just physically, but mentally too. It's about showing up for yourself, even when every fiber of your being wants to give up. That post-workout 'high,' that rush of endorphins mixed with pure fatigue, is what keeps me coming back for more. So, how do you get through it? Hydration, proper nutrition, and crucially, listening to your body are key. But beyond that, it’s about finding that inner fire. What fuels you to push past the ordinary? For me, it's the challenge, the burn, and that incredible sense of accomplishment when you've given everything you have. It’s not always pretty, getting to that point of total physical depletion, but it’s real, it’s raw, and it’s truly exhilarating. It’s a testament to what we’re capable of when we truly commit to our fitness journey.
