Finding Gratitude in the Chaos

A quick capture of the Christmas dinner.

A slight lack of luster event, as illness wreaked havoc on my family this Christmas, many plans were dusted away in a fell swoop. It sometimes makes me angry to think about the last two months of illness, yet my family is still well. Yet the Christmas dinner I had planned for months still came to fruition. Yet I still got to hug the people I love most. It's not always easy seeing the other side. That other side can easily be taken for granted, ripping it away from its meaning as we scream through the jello mold of our feelings.

So instead I will choose to seek gratitude every chance I get. I'm grateful for this lovely meal and the people who were with me this Christmas. I will not forget what good came!
