Spending quiet time with God can be a powerful way to recharge spiritually and mentally. From my own experience, immersing myself in scripture during these moments helped me face overwhelming situations with a calm heart and renewed trust. The passage from Exodus 14:13-14 reminds us to stand firm and let God fight our battles, which is especially comforting when life's pressures make it feel like we are surrounded by challenges we cannot control. One practice I find helpful is setting aside a dedicated 'quiet time' daily, free from distractions. During this time, I read Bible verses related to faith and deliverance, such as Moses’ encouragement to the Israelites to not fear. Reflecting on these verses helps me identify areas in my life where anxiety tends to take hold, allowing me to intentionally release control and place my trust in God’s plan. Prayer during this quiet time is also crucial. It’s an opportunity to share honestly with God my fears and struggles, just as the OCR content encourages: admitting where I've tried to fix things alone and asking for increased faith. This act of surrender has brought me peace amidst turmoil, and a sense of companionship during times I felt isolated. Additionally, journaling my thoughts and prayers has helped me track my spiritual growth and deepened my understanding of God’s faithfulness.
