Feel like you’re always behind?

Hey SGFC Fam!

It’s Monday again - so here’s your weekly Monday Motivation dose!

During my coaching sessions, one of the most common questions I get is:

“Do you think I’m far behind?”

Comparison is natural.

But constantly measuring your life against others?

That’s exhausting, and honestly, not very fair to yourself.

A healthier reflection is this:

compare yourself not to others,

but to who you were yesterday, or a year ago.

We’re so busy chasing the next milestone

that we forget that - where you are today

was once something you only dreamed of.

With 10 days left in 2025,

why not take a moment to pause and reflect?

What did you survive this year?

What did you learn?

What did you do differently?

If you’re open, drop it in the comments and tag someone who needs this reminder too.

And even if this year was just about getting through, it’s still an amazing thing and I’ll clap for you too. 🥰👏

Be proud of how far you’ve come.

... Read moreIt's easy to feel stuck when it seems like everyone around you is advancing faster—whether that's in career, relationships, or personal goals. But from my experience, what matters most isn't how you compare to others, but how you've progressed from your own past self. Many times, when feeling like you're still moving despite doing your best, I found that taking a pause and reflecting on personal growth makes a huge difference. For example, recognizing that a year ago, I was struggling with challenges others didn’t see helped me appreciate the small victories of just showing up each day. Instead of feeling pressured to match others' timelines, embracing your unique pace allows for healthier mental wellbeing and sustained motivation. This mindset shift encourages embracing intentional living—focusing on progress, not perfection. A helpful practice I adopted involves journaling about what I’ve learned and survived recently, which reinforces how far I’ve come despite setbacks. It’s about turning the focus inward, rather than outward comparisons, which often lead to unnecessary stress. Remember, you’re not behind; you’re on your own path. Keep celebrating every step forward—even those that seem small—and acknowledge the resilience it takes to keep moving, even when it feels like you’re standing still.

i’ve always struggled with rest — the kind that’s quiet, unhurried, and free of guilt. because when i stop, the world doesn’t. it keeps moving, and i feel like i’m missing out. so i keep pushing, until i’m too drained to feel proud of the progress i’ve made. but lately i’m realizing — rest isn

Why being Average Feels Like You're Falling Behind in SG
