One tip I swear by is applying coconut or almond oil about an hour before washing. This pre-wash oil treatment deeply nourishes and helps prevent further damage. Additionally, I switched to a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo, which greatly reduced scalp irritation and hair dryness. Limiting heat styling to just once or twice a week and always using a heat protectant spray before styling helps maintain hair health and prevent split ends. Trimming split ends every 6 to 8 weeks also promotes healthier hair growth. I noticed substantial improvements by using a weekly hair mask to restore moisture and smoothness. Instead of vigorously rubbing my hair when wet, I gently pat it dry and use a wide-tooth comb to minimize breakage. Avoiding over-shampooing (no more than 2-3 times per week) also preserved natural oils, keeping my hair softer and shinier. In short, being gentle with your hair, protecting it from heat, and maintaining moisture balance are key factors in recovering damaged hair. These easy tips helped my hair become stronger, softer, and healthier within a few weeks, and I believe they can help others achieve the same results.
