I'll be drawn sometimes..... ok I don't practice
Hey everyone! So, you saw my latest sketches, and I wanted to chat a bit more about my process and how I approach drawing anime characters, even when I feel like I'm just dabbling. You know, sometimes I just get this urge to pick up a pencil and see what happens, and that's how a lot of these black and white drawings come to life. When I'm sketching, I often start with a basic shape for the head and then build up the features. For anime characters, getting those expressive eyes and dynamic hair, like the spiky hair you see in some of my pieces, is key. I find that practicing different angles for the head and shoulders really helps make the characters feel more alive, whether they're looking to the right with a slight smirk or to the left with a determined expression. It adds so much personality! Often, my inspiration comes from all over – sometimes it's a cool character design I saw online, or a specific pose that sparks an idea. I love browsing platforms like Pinterest for drawing ideas, especially for different styles or how other artists tackle details like clothing. For instance, in one of my recent sketches, I focused on a character with a long coat and goggles, trying to capture that adventurous feel. It’s all about breaking down what you see into simpler shapes and then adding the details. Don't feel like you need formal practice every day to create something cool. I certainly don't! It's more about enjoying the process. If you're looking to draw your own anime characters or even fan art of favorites like Fushiguro, my biggest tip is just to start. Don't be afraid to make mistakes; they're part of the learning curve. Try focusing on one feature at a time, like getting a powerful expression or detailing a unique accessory like a headband. I've noticed a lot of people search for things like 'enemy drawing' or specific characters. When I'm trying to convey a certain mood, like an 'enemy' vibe, I think about sharper angles, intense expressions, and perhaps a more shadowed look. For me, sketching is a way to explore these ideas and bring different personas to life. What kind of characters do you enjoy drawing most, or what inspires your next sketch? I'd love to hear!
