Our friend/relationship spans over the last 10 years. We’ve sure has our ups and downs😅
We first met in 8th grade and we were just best friends. Not romantic feelings just the literal best of friends.
Once we got to highschool I ended up getting into a relationship. We broke up summer going into junior year.
Going into 11th grade i rekindled my friendship with Matt (my current boyfriend). We started as friends catching up, hanging out with other friends. Well one day I told him I liked him and he reciprocated the feelings.
We dated for a little bit. Then in our freshman year of college we decided to break up. Things just weren’t working out. I wasn’t in the best head space and wasn’t treating him the way he deserved.
Junior year of college, I reached out to him. I thought about him everyday, I missed him so much. I thought on it for months and decided it was the right thing to do.
We laugh about it now, he said when he saw my name pop up on his phone he almost 💩 his pants😂 He was out with friends and he went right home and we ended up facetiming for a while.
While we were both home from school on Thanksgiving break, we went on our first date. It was magical. I truly mean that.
Now here we are, both graduated, working. I always knew we were meant to be it was just never the right time. I also needed therapy and meds i’m a little crazy i’m not afraid to admit that :)
