Toronto for the Winter 🤍

Planning a trip to Toronto this winter? ❄️ Here are some must-visit spots to add to your list! Start with the iconic CN Tower for unbeatable views, then head to the dreamy winter wonderland of Nathan Phillips Square for ice skating. Niagara Falls is just a short trip away and an absolute must-see! For cozy vibes, check out Kensington Market—perfect for exploring unique shops and cafes during colder months. High Park offers beautiful winter walks, while Eataly and Toronto’s malls (like CF Eaton Centre) are ideal for staying warm and indulging in some shopping or delicious bites. Toronto truly has something for everyone this season! #wintertravel #torontotravel #winterdestinations #vacationideas #coldweather

... Read moreOkay, so let me tell you, one of my absolute favorite discoveries this winter in Toronto was definitely taking a break at % ARABICA inside the CF Toronto Eaton Centre! You know how sometimes you just need that perfect coffee spot to warm up and recharge, especially when it's chilly outside? This is it. The Eaton Centre itself is massive and a fantastic escape from the cold, packed with all the shops you could imagine, making it an ideal winter destination. But % ARABICA isn't just any coffee shop; it has such a sleek, minimalist vibe that feels super chic and surprisingly calm amidst the mall's hustle. I tried their Spanish Latte, and honestly, it was divine – creamy, perfectly balanced, and just the right pick-me-up after a morning of exploring. It’s perfect for people-watching too, right in the bustling heart of the mall. If you're looking for a quiet moment, grab a seat and soak in the energy. While you're at the Eaton Centre, don't just dash in and out. Take your time! The architecture itself is pretty cool, especially the 'Flight Stops' art installation. Plus, it's intimately connected to the PATH system, which is an absolute lifesaver for navigating downtown Toronto in winter without freezing. This underground network allows you to walk to several attractions and buildings in comfort. Outside, the area around the Eaton Centre is truly vibrant. It's literally steps away from Dundas Square, which really comes alive at night, especially during the holidays. Think bright lights and a lively atmosphere, kind of like a mini Times Square, as you can see in some incredible photos of the city at night! The festive decorations around this area, including prominent displays like the large Dior Christmas tree (perhaps in a nearby luxury shopping area or even within Kensington Market, which also gets very festive), really add to the holiday spirit. After all that shopping and caffeine, you might be looking for something more substantial. If you're craving a hearty breakfast or brunch, I highly recommend checking out places like Impact Kitchen. Their menu is full of delicious, healthy options, from French toast to scrambled eggs and waffles – perfect fuel for more winter adventures. I remember seeing a picture of their amazing spread, and it looked incredible; definitely on my list for my next visit to fuel up for another day of exploring. And for dinner, don't forget the incredible offerings at Eataly; it’s a foodie paradise where you can indulge in authentic Italian pasta and pizza, like the penne and tagliatelle I saw, all under one roof. The beauty of places like the Eaton Centre is that they offer a warm, comfortable hub to plan your next move. From here, you can easily hop on the subway to head to High Park for a scenic winter walk or even catch a GO Train for that incredible day trip to Niagara Falls. It just ties everything together, making your winter Toronto experience both practical and utterly enjoyable. So next time you're planning your Toronto itinerary, make sure to carve out some time for that coffee break at % ARABICA and explore the surrounding area – you won’t regret it!
