Shrimp Stir Fry

This dinner for me and my boyfriend took about 45 minutes (including prep time). I prep all my veggies, seasonings, sauces, and meats before anything touches heat. Once I start cooking, things move quick and you don’t have time to multitask!

Ingredients:

- 1/2 yellow onion, diced

- 2 tbsps garlic, minced (not pictured)

- 1/4 cup green onion, chopped

- 5 oz carrots, shredded

- 2 cups broccoli florets, chopped

- 2 tbsp unsalted butter

- approx 5 tbsp seasoning mix for the shrimp (not pictured)

- season to your hearts desire. I used a mixture of salt, pepper, old bay, paprika, and Goya seafood seasoning!

- approx 1/2 cup sauce mix

- again, this is based wholly on preference. I mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, teriyaki sauce, and a splash of sesame oil.

- 2 cups raw shrimp

- I always buy raw shrimp in the shell. It’s cheaper and I don’t mind prepping myself. Make sure you get the veins out!

- 4 cups long grain white rice, cooked

- 2 cups rice 2 cups liquid, my secret is using 1 1/2 cup of water and filling the other 1/2 cup with a lemon juice and butter mixture!)

The steps are very straight forward! Follow the pictures 👀

1. Prep your ingredients

2. Heat your wok (or pan) and melt the butter

3. Cook your onions with the garlic until tender

4. Add your broccoli, carrots, and green onions

5. Pour over your sauce and cook ~10 minutes until broccoli is bright green and carrots are soft

6. Add in the shrimp and cook for another 10/15 minutes

7. Plate with the rice at the bottom and pour over your stir fry! Garnish with more get green onion if you’d like!
