... Read moreHey everyone! I'm so excited about this December Scripture Writing journey, and I wanted to share a bit more about why I find this practice so incredibly enriching, especially as we dive into 'Who Is The Messiah?' This isn't just about reading words; it's about connecting with them on a deeper, personal level, letting God's truth speak directly to our hearts. For me, scripture writing has become a powerful source of daily encouragement and strength, particularly when life throws its challenges. There’s something profoundly grounding about taking the time to slowly read, reflect, and write out God's Word. It transforms a quick read into a meditative experience. You know those days when you just need a little boost? I often turn to Psalms of encouragement and strength, like Psalm 27:1-4, which reminds me that the Lord is my light and salvation. Writing these verses out really helps them sink in, offering a sense of peace and resilience. This December, with the theme 'Who Is The Messiah?', we have such a beautiful opportunity to explore the prophecies and promises surrounding Jesus. Imagine spending each day of December 2024, with its festive graphic of evergreen garland and red berries, delving into 31 daily Bible verses that reveal more about our Savior. It’s like a spiritual advent calendar, each verse unwrapping a new facet of His character and mission. Even if you only have 10 minutes for your bible lessons, this method makes it so accessible. Just a few verses can truly 'shine' a light on your day. If you're looking for scripture to encourage your heart, this study will be perfect. We’ll be touching on verses that beautifully articulate God's love and plan, like those found in Romans 2:4-6, which speaks of God's kindness leading us to repentance, or the profound command to 'love God love others' found in Mark 12:28-31 KJV. Writing these down helps us internalize these truths and live them out. I’ve personally found that incorporating specific verses into my daily routine, even just one or two, can make a huge difference. For example, reflecting on a verse like Isaiah 33:8 can offer perspective on God's faithfulness amidst turmoil. Or meditating on Joel 2:30-32, pondering God's outpouring of His Spirit, fuels my hope and anticipation. This month-long journey is designed to be flexible. You can follow the daily verses, or pick specific ones that resonate with you each day. It’s about creating a personal space for reflection and growth. Sometimes, when I’m feeling overwhelmed, I use this time not just to write, but to pray through the verses. It’s a wonderful way to turn my anxieties into prayers and find comfort in God’s unfailing word. This scripture writing practice is more than just an activity; it's a way to cultivate a deeper relationship with God, to truly understand 'Who Is The Messiah?' and how His life and teachings impact our own. So, I invite you to grab your favorite journal, maybe a new pen, and let’s journey through December together, discovering fresh insights and renewed strength in His presence. It’s a perfect way to prepare our hearts for Christmas and beyond!
