Iād propagate that!! šš±
Iāve truly had this single leaf in that skanky jar for months maybe like since November I canāt even remember how long the other ones that were in there all did great got a ton of roots moved on, to another pot. This one just sat there, had little teeny tiny roots, only just staying alive. Today I decided I was going part ways with it and then I turned the jar around and saw that babyā¦ā¦.best part of my day!!

Propagation of snake plants can sometimes feel like a waiting game, especially when progress isn't immediately visible. In my personal experience, I started with multiple leaves, but one leaf in particular seemed almost lifelessājust tiny roots appeared, and the leaf barely seemed to thrive. Despite that, I kept it submerged in water, hoping for the best. Months passed with little change, and I was ready to give up on it. One day, almost by accident, I turned the jar around and noticed a tiny new sprout, a baby growth that signaled life had been quietly developing all along. It was a heartwarming reminder that propagation requires patience and gentle care. Snake plants are generally hardy and resilient, but each leaf can take a unique amount of time to root and develop. For those attempting snake plant propagation, a few personal tips: use clean water at room temperature and change it every couple of weeks to prevent stagnation. Place your jar in bright but indirect sunlight to encourage root growth without stressing the leaf. Avoid excessive handling or disturbing the cutting, as this can inhibit rooting. This experience taught me that even when propagation seems stagnant, growth may be silently happening beneath the surface. Celebrating that small success feels like one of the best parts of my plant care routine. If you're propagating houseplants, especially snake plants, don't be discouragedāsometimes persistence truly pays off with new life emerging when least expected.
