Layers of Love: Ultimate Lasagne Magic 🍝✨

500gms minced beef Chopped onions… one or two depending on size. Chopped garlic… I use about five cloves Tin of chopped tomatoes Good squirt of tomato purée One beef stock pot Few dashes of Worcestershire sauce Teaspoon each of oregano - thyme - can use dried or fresh Good large squirt of tomato sauce. Brown the mince slowly. Drain the fat away. Sauté onions and garlic Add to the mince Stir in beef stock pot. Add oregano, thyme, tin tomatoes, tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce and tomato sauce. Mix well. Simmer until the colour of the mince is a good brown / red colour and you have reduced some of the liquid. you can add red wine as well but the mince must not be runny. While the mince is cooking, make the cheese sauce. 50 gms of butter - melt this in a saucepan. 4 heaped tablespoons of plain flour - add to melted butter. Mix well over a low heat until comes together and forms a soft dough mixture. Don’t worry if it’s a bit crumbly … trust me, it will be fine. Add 500 mls milk gradually, stirring all the time, over a low heat. I use a manual hand whisk to keep the sauce smooth. Once all the milk has been added, cook over a low heat for a minute. Turn the heat off, add lots of mature grated cheese to your taste. Mix well. In an oven proof dish…. Add a layer of lasagna sauce. Place lasagna on top, cheeses sauce. One more layer finishing with the cheese sauce. Sprinkle cheese on top. Be creative and add your own twist !!
