Keftedes 🇬🇷 Crispy outside, soft in the middle 👌
#keftedes. #homecooking #greekfood #easyrecipe #fyp
Ingredients:
500g mixed beef and pork ( you can use just beef or lamb, whatever your preference)
1 red onion, grated (you can use white if you don’t have any red)
3 garlic cloves, minced
60g breadcrumbs ( I used ready made or you can used panko or fresh)
1 egg
60 g fresh parsley, finely chopped… keep some aside to sprinkle on top
6 large mint leaves, finely chopped
1 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp salt
1 tbs Black pepper
Olive oil for frying.
1 lemon
Flour for dusting
Method:
Mix altogether in a large bowl.
Place in fridge for an hour.
Then make small balls slightly smaller than the size of a golf ball.
Dust in flour.
Heat you olive oil in a pan… about two cms is enough.
Fry your keftedes in batches so not to overcrowd the pan.
Roll them around whilst cooking until they brown all over. They only take a few minutes.
Decorate with parsley and drizzle the keftedes with lemon.
Serve with a nice Greek salad, pitta bread and tzatziki.
Enjoy!
