why are grown kids so opinionated ?

6/16 Edited to

... Read moreFrom my own experience and observations, grown children often become more opinionated as they develop their sense of identity and independence. This is a natural part of growing into adulthood, where forming and expressing opinions becomes a crucial way to establish autonomy. Many times, adult children have been exposed to a wider variety of ideas through education, social circles, and media than their parents might have had access to. This exposure can lead them to hold strong opinions on political, social, or personal matters. It’s also common for grown kids to want to be heard and validated as adults, which can come across as being opinionated. In my family, I noticed that when discussions get passionate, it often stems from a desire to share personal experiences or deeply held values rather than just the need to argue. Recognizing this can help parents and adult children engage in more meaningful conversations. Practicing active listening and showing respect for differing views creates an environment where opinions can be exchanged without conflict. Additionally, cultural and generational differences play a role. Younger adults today often prioritize different values such as mental health awareness, social justice, or digital privacy, which can contribute to feeling strongly about certain issues. Overall, understanding that being opinionated is part of adult children's journey toward self-expression can help families navigate these dynamics with empathy and patience.

why are girls clothes so grown
At first, it seems fun and cute that little girls get to dress “stylish.” But here’s my hot take: this isn’t just about style. We’re subconsciously pushing little girls to grow up faster by dressing them like mini adults. And if you want to be ok with that, why aren’t we doing the same for little b

Are Men Just Grown Kids?
I swear sometimes dating a man feels like raising a fully grown toddler with a beard. I don’t know if it’s a maturity thing, an emotional awareness thing, or if we were all accidentally handed the job of being a girlfriend and a part-time mom. I catch myself reminding him of basic things, to clean

It doesn’t matter how old or young they are, teaching them the correct names for their body parts is a non-negotiable! When you swap real words for “cookie” “pee pee” or whatever else, you’re not protecting them, you’re confusing them and teaching them to feel weird or ashamed about their own bodie

Why I choose to have no kids

When did we stop dressing kids like…kids?
Everywhere I look — in stores and online — kids’ clothes look more like they were made for adults than actual kids. Cropped tops and mini shorts for a 5-year-old? No thanks. As a girl mom, I just want better options for my daughters — clothes that let them run, jump, and explore without worrying
