Hidden Thai gem in Port Melbourne

Amphawa cafe & Thai restaurant 🏡

Amphawa Thai Café & Restaurant is a cosy family-run spot named after the owner’s hometown—famous for its floating markets!

Serving up authentic Thai lunch & dinner that hits all the right notes.

Lunch specials start from just $15.90 (+$3 for a crispy fried egg… trust me, get it).

Here’s what I tried:

• Pad Ka-Prao with pork mince & fried egg

• Pad Ka-Na crispy pork on rice

• Braised pork leg with boiled egg

• Homemade Thai shumai (must-try)

Came back for dinner and left obsessed:

• Crab fried rice

• Grilled chicken

• Steamed fish with spicy lime

• Moo ping & sticky rice

• Ginger stir-fried calamari

Everything tasted like I was back in Thailand. If you’re in Port Melbourne, do yourself a favour and check it out!
