CYCLE CLASS #20

I thought I’d start sharing my morning cycle class results #fyp

... Read moreParticipating in a morning cycle class like Cycle Class #20 can significantly boost your fitness by engaging various heart rate zones that target different energy systems. For example, spending around 22.7% of your workout in the Red zone (high intensity) helps improve cardiovascular strength, while time spent in the Yellow and Green zones aids in endurance and fat burning. Tracking metrics such as effort points and calories burned provides tangible feedback to keep you motivated and set achievable goals. From my experience, using tools like Functional Threshold Power (FTP) and Training Stress Score (TSS) gives a more nuanced understanding of training load and recovery needs. FTP tells you the highest power output you can sustain over time, which helps tailor workouts for maximum effect, while TSS summarizes the overall intensity and duration of your exercise to prevent overtraining. Moreover, monitoring performance indicators such as distance and time spent in various zones allows for adjusting your pace and intensity to improve efficiency and prevent burnout. I found that integrating these data points into my routine helped me steadily improve my endurance and power output during morning cycles. For anyone looking to optimize their cycling workouts, combining heart rate zone analysis with power metrics is a practical approach to achieving better results and maintaining motivation.
