when i saw Le bon funk’s lunch weekends specials, it was an immediate YES PLS!!!
We ordered:
1. Avocado toast with cured egg yolks. The staff recommended 3 pieces since we had 4 of us and no regrets!!! We loved it!! What’s so special is that the avocado & cured eggs were frozen and then grated onto the toast so it’s flaky like shaved ice, you have to eat it quickly for the best optimum experience before it melts! The egg yolks gave it a umami taste & it kind of tasted like guacamole to me! I had high expectation because I really love their foie gras toast so it’s like a nice twist to your usually avo toast!
2. Croque madame
It was good but the bread kind of dissolved into the bacon jus so I couldn’t really taste the brioche bread! It was nice but nothing amazing, you can still taste the oozy egg & cheese, it’s not bad but must share!!
3. Cast iron pancakes with dark maple syrup + whipped cream and dark cherries (+$5) Crispy yet fluffy pancakes from Le bon funk soak in generous amount of dark maple syrup was so good!! ( you can also opt to add foie gras + $20), no greasiness at all!
4. Beef tongue & gribiche sandwich
Classic permanent item on your menu!! On their menu since day one! Generously slices with thin slices of beef tongue paired with heaps of tangy gribiche sauce.

Although the Croque Madame didn’t stand out as much due to the bread’s texture, the oozy egg and cheese kept it enjoyable, and it's best shared.
