PFAS “forever chemicals”Huge costs & danger.
The European Commission says current PFAS pollution could cost the EU around €440 billion by 2050, and treating polluted water alone could cost more than €1 trillion.
PFAS are not just an environmental issue! They are linked to immune damage, hormone disruption, liver changes, high cholesterol, pregnancy risks, kidney cancer, testicular cancer, and developmental concerns.
A UK parliamentary report says PFAS are widely found in humans, wildlife, rivers, soils and the atmosphere, and warns that narrowing PFAS definitions can be driven by political or commercial interests.
National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine report on PFAS exposure. It lists health effects associated with PFAS as altered immune function, elevated cholesterol, thyroid disease, hypertension during pregnancy, testicular cancer, and kidney cancer.
2025 study using human liver spheroids found PFAS exposure altered lipid metabolism, affected cancer-related pathways, downregulated immune-cell pathways, and showed compound-specific effects on human liver cells
2025 University of Rochester study tracked 200 mother–baby pairs and found prenatal PFAS exposure crossed through pregnancy/breast milk pathways and was linked to changes in babies’ developing immune systems by 12 months.

Forever chemicals are not some conspiracy theory!
Major scientific bodies link PFAS to immune damage, thyroid disruption, pregnancy risks, high cholesterol, and cancer.
Yet corporations still want the public arguing while the poison stays in the water.
