A Good Liar review

I gave it 4 stars because it was good, but not great. I was also confused at one point in the story and felt it needed to be clearer. It was very interesting and had a bit of a twist based on the storyline. Overall, I would recommend this book and this author.

I enjoy the book and reading the story by A.R Torre. I would read another book by this author. Also, the relationship between Dr. Moore and Robert Kavin was interesting and how they were intimate and also working together on the case of the BH Killer was sometime tense and I felt a little messy because of the physical connection they had. I really wanted to know who was the killer and when I did everything was added up on the information by reading this book was a twisted. She works with clients that she helps with different types of conditions mentally. And she has to do a profile of the killer to see if he is innocent or not and that’s what makes the book very interesting and that’s why I will recommend this book because I love mystery and I love twist and turns that makes me think.

... Read moreReading A Good Liar by A.R. Torre was quite a gripping experience for me, especially as someone who enjoys psychological thrillers with rich character dynamics. One aspect that stood out was the complex relationship between Dr. Moore and Robert Kavin. Their mix of intimacy and professional collaboration added layers of tension that felt both messy and realistic. It’s interesting how their personal connection sometimes blurred the lines in their investigation of the BH Killer, adding depth to the story. What I found particularly compelling was the psychological profiling element incorporated into the plot. Dr. Moore's work with mentally challenged clients and her role in evaluating the killer's innocence brought an authentic touch to the suspense. The author’s ability to weave mental health themes into a thriller kept me engaged and made the storyline more believable. The storyline’s twists were genuinely surprising and kept me guessing about the killer’s identity until the very end. It’s not just a straightforward mystery; the layers of deception and character motives added complexity. However, at some points, I did find the plot a bit confusing, and I wished the narrative was clearer. Despite this, the book succeeded in keeping my attention, which is essential for this genre. If you enjoy mysteries with intense psychological elements and unpredictable turns, I would definitely recommend giving A Good Liar a try. It’s a great pick for readers who like to analyze characters’ mental states alongside unraveling a crime. I’m also eager to explore more works by A.R. Torre due to her skillful storytelling and unique approach to thrillers.

Catching up on some books I read and never got around to posting reviews on… The cutest book and storvline I've read in a while!! While I did think it was dragging on for a bit at first, it built up for a wonderful ending. I was nervous it would be rushed but I feel it played out well.
