Five Steps to a Clean Mouth
If you’ve been told your breath isn’t fresh, it could be due to a few different causes. Bad breath is often linked to gingivitis, which means your gums need better care. Follow this five-step routine to improve your breath and keep your gums healthy.
Five Steps to Fresh Breath:
Step 1: Use a tongue scraper to remove bacteria and debris from your tongue. It’s more effective than brushing alone at clearing odor-causing buildup.
Step 2: Floss daily to stimulate your gums and remove food and plaque from between your teeth. Flossing after meals can provide extra benefits.
Step 3: Rinse with an antiseptic or therapeutic mouthwash to loosen plaque and kill bacteria, preparing your mouth for a thorough brush.
Step 4: Brush with a fluoride or gum-health toothpaste. If you have sensitive gums or struggle with gingivitis and bad breath, a toothpaste designed for gum care can strengthen them.
Step 5: Rinse with a mouthwash formulated to combat bad breath, such as TheraBreath or another antiseptic rinse, to maintain fresh breath and support gum health.
Complete these five steps every morning and night, and floss after meals, to promote fresh breath and healthier gums. If bad breath persists, consult a dentist to check for underlying issues like gum disease or other health conditions.
Freshly,
Jau 💚

This is such a great reminder of the basics. I'd add that finding a toothpaste you actually like the taste of is half the battle. Makes the whole routine so much less of a chore! 😁
