Key To Great Skin

The key to great skincare is knowing that your skin is unique & doing what works for you. Products that work for me may not work for you.

Key products for a great skincare routine

✨Cleanser: A gentle cleanser helps remove dirt, oil, and makeup without stripping the skin's natural moisture. Choose one suitable for your skin type (gel, cream, or foam). Gel cleanser for oily skin type, cream or milk-based cleanser for dry skin type, foaming cleanser or gel cleanser for combination skin type and gentle, fragrance free cleanser for sensitive skin type.

✨Toner: A toner can balance the skin's pH after cleansing and prepare the skin for better absorption of subsequent products. Some toners also offer hydration or exfoliation.

✨Serum: Serums are concentrated formulas designed to target specific skin concerns like wrinkles, pigmentation, or dryness. Common types include vitamin C (for brightening) or hyaluronic acid (for hydration).

✨Moisturizer: Hydration is key for skin health, so a good moisturizer helps maintain the skin's barrier. Choose a moisturizer suited to your skin type (lightweight for oily skin, thicker creams for dry skin).

✨Sunscreen: Sunscreen is a must every day, even when it’s cloudy. A broad-spectrum SPF of at least 30 helps protect against UV rays, preventing premature aging and skin damage.

Optional but beneficial products include:

✨Exfoliator: Chemical exfoliants (like AHAs or BHAs) or physical exfoliants help remove dead skin cells. Use 1-3 times a week, depending on your skin's sensitivity.

✨Eye Cream: Specially formulated for the delicate skin around the eyes, eye creams can address puffiness, dark circles, or fine lines.

If you’re looking for serums that help with hyperpigmentation and dark spots, you can also add a tranexamic acid serum or alpha arbutin serum to your skincare routine.
