Clean with me as a Sahm of 3
Which is better ? Being a Sahm or working a 9-5?
Being a stay-at-home mom (SAHM) to three kids can often be underestimated, as some might even label SAHMs as lazy, which is a misconception I have personally encountered. The reality is quite the opposite—managing a household and caring for multiple children is a full-time responsibility that requires immense energy, patience, and organization. From my daily experience, cleaning is not just about tidying up; it’s about maintaining a safe and healthy environment for my children. Balancing chores with the unpredictable needs of three young ones means that cleaning becomes a task that must be done in short bursts throughout the day. I often find motivation by setting small goals, like focusing on one room at a time or turning cleaning into a game with the kids. Choosing to be a SAHM versus working a traditional 9-5 job is a continuous reflection for many mothers. The flexibility to be present for my children during their formative years is invaluable, but it also comes with challenges like lack of adult interaction and financial dependence. Yet, the sense of accomplishment I feel seeing a clean home and happy kids gives me a unique fulfillment that many jobs cannot provide. For those considering this path, my advice is to embrace the messiness of motherhood while carving out moments for self-care and small wins around the house. Using cleaning as a way to reset can be surprisingly therapeutic. Remember, being a SAHM is a role full of invisible hard work, and it deserves recognition and respect.
