How do you build a clean phone layout?
Dear, SweeTees 💜
Apparently my phone wanted to stay in April… and we simply could not allow that.
So for May, I gave my iPhone 17 Pro Max a full little refresh with a yellow + purple theme — soft, cozy, slightly main character, and honestly making me want to romanticize replying to emails.
I used Pinterest for all the inspo photos and Color Widgets for the widgets because together? They carry my entire customization experience 😭
💜 Mini Must-Knows
• Stick to a color palette
2–3 colors keeps everything looking intentional
• Leave breathing room
Your screen feels cleaner when every inch isn’t filled
• Match your widgets to your wallpaper
That’s what makes everything feel cohesive
This honestly makes my phone feel brand new every month without me buying anything (except maybe a case 🤫)… and that’s kind of my favorite type of reset.
Save this for your next phone refresh and follow for more cozy tech, aesthetic customization, and digital resets 💜
-Sincerely,
Tee 💜🫶🏽
When I first started customizing my phone layout, I realized how overwhelming it could be to create a look that’s both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The key is simplicity and consistency. Sticking to a palette of just two or three colors instantly makes your screen look more intentional and less chaotic. I also found that leaving breathing room between apps and widgets changes the entire vibe—it creates a sense of calm and helps important apps stand out. Matching your widget colors to your wallpaper creates a cohesive theme, so everything feels like part of the same story rather than disconnected pieces. Using apps like Color Widgets makes this super easy. You can pick or create custom widgets that fit your theme perfectly without needing advanced design skills. Pinterest is also an amazing source of inspiration; browsing through layouts shared by others helped me see how different color combinations and widget arrangements could look. One tip I love is to update your phone’s theme monthly. It feels like a little digital reset that keeps your phone feeling new and exciting without spending money. Changing wallpaper and widgets with a fresh palette (like my May yellow and purple theme) makes daily phone use feel more fun and personal. Don’t forget to keep usability in mind—make sure your most-used apps are easy to find and access. Balance beauty with function so your phone is not only pretty but also helps you stay organized and efficient. Overall, a clean phone layout is all about purpose and personalization. By focusing on a simple color palette, leaving space, and tying widgets to wallpaper, your phone screen becomes a cozy, inviting space that reflects your style and makes everyday interactions more enjoyable.
