Over the past two months, my journey with these beauty staples has really solidified my views on what works for me and what's worth the investment. The OUAI Super Dry Shampoo definitely stands out with its lovely fragrance, but the price is a sticking point, especially for those of us who like to use dry shampoo regularly. I tried the 2 oz travel size, which was great for sampling, but I won’t be repurchasing the full size mainly because it’s overpriced compared to similar products. On the other hand, Amika’s The Wizard detangling primer is something I keep coming back to. I was lucky to get a travel size as part of a gift set, and now I'm finishing my third bottle of the full size. It smells amazing, leaves my hair soft without heaviness, and importantly, it’s silicone-free, which works well for my hair type. My absolute favorite is the Torriden DIVE IN Soothing Cream. This has quickly become a nighttime essential for me, especially during my gua sha facial routine. I originally discovered it in Japan and was so impressed that I sourced it from Korea later on. The creamy texture is soothing without being greasy, and it really helps calm my skin. Using this cream while doing gua sha adds an extra layer of relaxation and skincare benefits. I’m currently on my third tub and have one more in reserve. If you’re into comforting skincare products that work well for sensitive skin, this is definitely worth a try. Overall, these empties highlight the importance of balancing product quality, sensory experience, and price. Whether it's deciding to not repurchase an over-priced luxury item or repeatedly buying a product that delivers consistent results, these months of careful usage have given me valuable insights.
