ogx argan oil spray; 10/10- lightweight, smells good. I use on damp hair to lock moisture
California naturals regro: 2/10 didn't notice a difference. would not repurchase
cyklar mily essence: 9/10 felt amazing, lightweight and made my skin feel good but I wouldn't repurchase because of the price point and the fact my moisturizers do the same job
good molecules retinol cream: 10000/10 gentle on skin, affordable, good intro for retinoids in skincare. would repurchase.
the ordinary glycolic acid toner: 5/10.. tis a toner. I like milky ones better though
... Read moreHaving tried a variety of beauty and skincare products this past month, I wanted to share some additional insights from my personal experience to help guide those considering these items.
Starting with the L'Oreal Elvive Hyaluron shampoo, it truly stood out by making my hair feel soft without weighing it down. Its hydrating formula with hyaluronic acid is perfect for dehydrated lengths, which I’ve found to be a common cause of dull, lifeless hair. Using it regularly has improved my hair texture noticeably. For those dealing with dry scalp or damage, this shampoo offers gentle cleansing combined with moisture retention.
I also enjoyed the Amika The Wizard silicone-free detangling primer. The fresh scent and lightweight feel make it a joy to use, especially on damp hair before styling. However, the price point is quite high, so I’m currently testing more budget-friendly primers with similar ingredients like silicones for slip and nourishing oils. If you want to try a luxurious product and don’t mind investing, Amika’s formula is solid.
The EOS Fresh and Cozy lotion impressed me with its nourishing blend of 7 oils and butters, which left my skin feeling soft and well-protected throughout the day. I appreciated the clean, cozy scent that wasn’t overpowering. This is a great daily body lotion for anyone with normal to dry skin needing lasting hydration.
Lemme Sleep Gummies worked moderately well for me in promoting restful nights, thanks to melatonin, magnesium, and calming chamomile. However, they are on the pricier side compared to conventional sleep aids. If you’re looking for a natural supplement, they’re worth trying but alternatives may provide similar effects more economically.
I was particularly fond of the OGX Argan Oil Mist, which I use mainly on damp hair to lock in moisture. Its lightweight texture and pleasant scent didn’t weigh my fine hair down, and I noticed improved shine and softness.
On the other hand, I was disappointed with California Naturals Regro Hair Serum as I saw no significant results in hair growth or nourishment, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
Cyklàr Milky Essence is a fantastic hydrating essence with ceramides that made my skin feel plump and supple. Yet, due to the high price and overlapping benefits with my other moisturizers, I don’t see the need to repurchase.
Good Molecules Retinol Cream deserves special mention for being an affordable, gentle introduction to retinoids. It helped improve my skin texture without irritation, making it a great starter product for anyone new to retinol.
Lastly, The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner was okay but didn’t wow me. I prefer milky toners that offer gentle exfoliation with added hydration.
Overall, June’s empties reaffirmed for me the importance of choosing products that suit your specific skin and hair needs rather than just following trends. I always recommend patch testing new items and considering both efficacy and price to find your best personal favorites.
