Hey foodies! If you're planning a trip out East, you absolutely must carve out a "Perfect 24 Hours" for eating your way through The Hamptons. I recently did just that, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable culinary journey. Forget generic tourist traps; this is my personal guide to the best bites, from hidden gems to iconic institutions! My day kicked off bright and early at the brand new Sagaponack General Store. This place has made so much buzz, and for good reason! You HAVE to try their buttery biscuit sandwich – think light, fluffy biscuit, a perfect soufflé egg, melted cheese, and a sprinkle of flaky salt on top. Seriously, get it without the ham, trust me! While you're there, grab a delicious cinnamon roll or a blueberry muffin and a coffee from their full-service bar. If coffee isn't your jam, head to the Montauk General Store pop-up in Amagansett for craft matcha lattes by Kate – they're totally obsessions-worthy and she’ll be there all summer. For lunch, I headed to an absolute institution: The Clam Bar. It’s a quintessential roadside classic, and you can’t go wrong with either the hot lobster roll (buttery and warm) or the loaded cold one. But here’s a pro tip: don't sleep on their chicken tenders! They're surprisingly amazing if you're not in the mood for seafood. Alternatively, if pizza is calling your name, hit up Fini Pizza in Amagansett. Their tomato slice with breadcrumbs always hits the spot, and I’m a huge fan of their unique white slice with lemon. So good! Now, for dinner, you’ve got a couple of incredible options depending on your vibe. If you’re looking for a scene with a touch of nostalgia, Camp Rubirosa in East Hampton is newly opened and fantastic. Imagine the Rubirosa food you know and love, but set in a cool, summer camp atmosphere. Their Mozz sticks are a must-get, and the tie-dye pizza (sweet tomato, pesto, and vodka sauces!) is just brilliant. Their pasta selection also genuinely surprised me. And for dessert? The s'mores sundae is pure bliss. But if you’re less of a camp girl and more into a party scene, Calissa in Water Mill is your spot. This Mediterranean fare restaurant turns into a full-on dance party by dessert! Start with some amazing dips and the crudo platter, and definitely get the zucchini chips. Seriously, before you’re dancing on the table, make sure to get the baklava for dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Pure perfection! Finally, no Hamptons food tour is complete without a stop at Round Swamp Market. This is your go-to for stocking up on delicious treats. Their chicken tenders are legendary, the fudgy brownies are addictive, and their muffins are perfect for the next morning. Oh, and you absolutely cannot leave without trying Bethany Frankel's favorite: their chicken salad. It’s truly something special. My "Perfect 24 Hours" of eating in The Hamptons was a dream. Each spot offered something unique and delicious, making it the ultimate food lover's guide. I hope you enjoy these culinary gems as much as I did!
