Stretches I'm Doing to Achieve a Split!🤸🏻‍♂️

It's now been almost 2 weeks of consecutively trying for a split. As someone who is not flexible at all and has trouble achieving a split, here are the stretches I do almost daily and have seen a HUGE improvement on!🔥

I do every single stretch on both sides for 30 seconds each. ⏰

I learned all of these moves from a flexologist who stretches me out every two week at StretchLab!🧘‍♀️

Once I've conquered both leg splits, I'm moving on to stretch for the middle split which seems to be the hardest for me. My goal is to be extremely flexible to create cool and inspiring videos. I highly recommend you try these out because it is more important than we think to stretch our bodies to prevent injury and improve on other types of exercise!🏋🏻‍♀️🚶🏻‍♀️

Lean forward gently to feel the stretch in your hamstring. 3. **Quadriceps Stretch**: Stand on one leg and pull your other heel towards your glutes, keeping your knees close together. 4. **Butterfly Stretch**: Sit with the soles of your feet together, holding your feet while gently pressing your knees towards the floor to open up your hips. 5. **Pigeon Pose**: This yoga pose stretches your hips and glutes. From a plank position, bring one knee forward towards your hand, extending the other leg back. Incorporate these stretches into your daily routine, holding each for 30 seconds and performing them on both sides. Consistency is key to improving your flexibility—over time, you will notice more significant improvements in your range of motion and ease in achieving the splits. Remember to listen to your body and never push too hard to avoid injuries.

Before stretching: warm up! I recommend stretching AFTER a workout or doing something physical. Even if you go for a 10 minute walk beforehand, it’s better than doing nothing. Hold each of these stretches for at least 30 seconds. Repeat on the other side and then try your splits on both legs.
