Health and wellness
I’ve struggled with my weight since my teenage years and throughout my entire adult life. It has never been an easy battle.
Living with autoimmune diseases like Lupus and Hypothyroidism only made that journey even more difficult.
Back in 2016, I started using Plexus health and wellness supplements, and with consistency, I lost 78 pounds. For the first time in years, I was able to come off my diabetes medication, my blood pressure medication, my thyroid levels improved, and my lupus was under control. I finally felt like I had my life back.
Then COVID happened.
Like so many others, I became less active during the lockdown. Little by little, I fell back into old habits and eventually gained every pound back.
By December 2023, I was back up to 250 pounds. My diabetes and blood pressure were out of control again, and I felt sick more often than not. My doctor started me on Ozempic, but it didn’t work for me. Later, I switched to Mounjaro, and that became the tool that finally helped me get back on track.
Today, June 29, 2026, I weigh 163 pounds. That’s 87 pounds gone, and I’m incredibly grateful for how far I’ve come.
But this journey isn’t just about losing weight. It’s about reclaiming my health.
As thankful as I am for Mounjaro, I don’t want to depend on it forever. My goal has always been to build healthy, sustainable habits that I can maintain for life. That’s why I’ve decided to start Plexus again. It worked well for me before, and I believe it can help support me as I continue this journey—especially now that I’m navigating menopause, another chapter that comes with its own challenges.
Everyone’s journey is different. I’m not here to tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t do. I’m simply sharing what has worked for me and what I’m choosing to do moving forward.
If my story encourages even one person not to give up on themselves, then sharing it is worth it.
From 250 pounds to 163 pounds. From a size 24 to a size 6. Most importantly… from surviving to truly living again. ❤️
