Which numbers do I care about?
🍋 Which numbers do I care about?
And which numbers I don't care about anymore?
Back then, I thought,
Health care is to make the "numbers better."
Weight must be reduced
Fat must be low
The numbers have to be prettier every time they weigh.
But when I get older,
I started to know
Not all numbers should be given the same priority.
Some numbers are there. Look at the direction.
Some numbers are for putting unnecessary stress on us.
📊 numbers I'm still interested in.
• Abdominal fat
Because it's about real health.
Not just the shape.
• Muscle mass
Don't always add
Just not missing is enough
Because muscle is what keeps us going.
• Body water
Reflect rest
And daily recovery.
• Metabolic age
Not watching to show off
But see what the guidelines are doing.
Still taking the body the right way?
🚫 numbers I don't stick to anymore.
• Body weight
Still weighing but not judging himself
• BMI
Useful in the overview.
But never told me
How ready is the body to live today?
• Low fat percentage at all times
I don't want the lowest number.
I need that number.
Still lives well and without pressure.
Something more important than all the numbers.
Is the simple question:
Can I still walk, run, exert?
I recovered faster or slower.
Can I still live without physical force?
If the answer is still "yes,"
The other numbers are just data.
Not a judgment.
I didn't stop looking at numbers.
But I stopped giving numbers.
Is the person who tells his own worth
Long-term health
Not chasing graphs.
But is to listen to the body.
And then keep adjusting.
