The Village
Random Thought….
We have all heard the phrase “it takes a village to raise a child”, but what if that village is really supposed to be for mom🤯??
💭What's on my mind: While doing my early morning scroll to help me fall asleep, I came across a reel that mention the importance of mom having all that she needs to better support the needs of her child. I never really thought about how having others support me would help me be better for my child. I’m not talking about just letting someone watch your baby so you can rest, but like having others prepare meals, help with cleaning, keeping you hydrated, and essentially take care of things that would interfere with your bonding/milk supply building for your child.
My take away: I started to kick myself as I struggled with Brest feeding and ultimately stopped due to supply not building up. If only I knew the benefits of allowing more help. However now that I know, should I have another child, i will be that much better as well as this teaches me what I can do now to improve on being a better Mom.
