... Read moreFrom personal experience, I've realized that trying to fix someone who's broken can sometimes make them feel misunderstood or pressured. It's tempting to want to take away their pain immediately, but pain is often a complex part of healing that can't be rushed or erased. Instead, simply offering a consistent presence and genuine empathy can be incredibly powerful. I remember a friend going through a difficult time; instead of giving advice, I just sat with them, listened, and acknowledged their feelings without judgment. Over time, that helped them feel supported and less isolated. Walking beside someone through their struggles means validating their experience, even if you don’t have immediate solutions. This approach fosters trust and lets them know they aren’t alone, which is often the most vital balm for a hurting heart. It's a reminder that healing is a personal journey and that love, patience, and presence often help more than fix-it attempts ever could.
