finally finished✨🫶 artwork

think this took.....4 days?? all done in colored pencils. used both crayola regular colored pencils and the few prismacolor ones i have. used blender pencils just for colored pencils.

stayed over at my friend's house fir two days, and had decent relaxing time to focus on it. and spend time with her, since I'm a shut in recluse.

upset at my pencil sharpeners now. 😒😒 they wanted to act up suddenly, but got the job done.

👍Pros :very pleased with the outcome

👍Pros :love the colors I went with

👍Pros :i didnt mess up and tear the poor girl's nose area, like i normally accidentally do.

👍Pros :i love how i put grass in the dirt between the stone path, and added a bit of a mossy stone colored look.

🤔Cons:the city is sudeways a bit, but we laughed it off.

🤔Cons:I'm mentally and physically tired. i don't usually take time on artwork projects. my adhd was running wild/Appleton the last 4 days and wanted to stop and say it's good enough...f it. but my friend kept me company.

... Read moreCreating a colored pencil artwork is a rewarding yet intricate process that requires patience, focus, and sometimes a bit of perseverance. Colored pencils, such as Crayola and Prismacolor, are popular choices among artists due to their blendability, color vibrancy, and versatility. To enhance the richness of your colored pencil art, using blender pencils specifically designed for colored pencils can make a significant difference in softening transitions and adding depth to the artwork. In any extended art project, challenges are natural — for example, pencil sharpeners acting up can disrupt your flow, but it’s important to push through and keep your equipment maintained to ensure the best results. Focusing on small details, like carefully coloring grass between stones or adding moss effects to rocks, can elevate your piece and bring a natural, textured feel. Many artists find that having company or support during their creative endeavors helps reduce feelings of isolation and keeps motivation high—especially for those who identify as introverted or reclusive. Sharing your process and progress with friends can provide encouragement, making it easier to manage distractions like ADHD that often interrupt concentration. Choosing the right color palette influences the emotional tone and appeal of your art, so experimenting with color choices and layering techniques can lead to more brilliant and satisfying outcomes. Allow yourself to embrace imperfections, such as perspective that is 'sideways' or minor mistakes, and enjoy the journey rather than demanding perfection. If you’re new to colored pencil art or want to improve, consider dedicating focused time away from daily distractions, perhaps a quiet weekend at a friend’s place like in Appleton, to immerse yourself fully. Rest is also crucial; physical and mental tiredness are normal and recognizing when to pause can lead to a fresher and more inspired creative session later. Overall, colored pencil artwork requires patience, attention to detail, and a balance of technical skill and creative freedom. Celebrate your accomplishments with pride, learn from your challenges, and continue exploring this beautiful medium's possibilities.

Wow, I’m honestly so impressed by this. The details in the fall leaves and the trees are chef’s kiss! you really captured that warm, cozy autumn feeling. And the way you drew the city way in the back? Like… the depth, the perspective, the tiny details?? I love that you didn’t let the background just fade away, you actually built a whole world back there. 😍 The colors blend so softly but still pop in all the right places. You can tell you were patient and intentional with every mark. It feels alive, like I can hear the crunch of leaves under footsteps on that path.🍂🍂🍂🍁 You should be proud. Truly. I know it took a lot out of you, but the soul you poured into it shows. This is one of those pieces that doesn’t just look pretty, it feels like something. Beautiful work! 👏👏👏💕
