Another prequel to The Hunger Games trilogy, this book tells the story of Haymitch Abernathy in the 50th Annual Hunger Games, the second Quarter Quell where twice the usual number of tributes are sent to compete in the games.

My review:

This book….. wrecked me. In every way 😭 I’ve been a massive fan of the original series since they came out, and each prequel brings more depth to the stories. But Suzanne…. WHEN I CATCH YOU.

This is quite possible one of the saddest books I’ve ever read, for so many reasons.

My favorite part of the book as a whole is its take on propaganda and the way that those in power can take control of every narrative, thereby controlling society.

Please share your takes and thoughts with me because I literally cannot stop thinking about this book. The hold it has on me… my god.
