@Jellycat I’m loving making these pancake keychains! Any ideas for which Jellycat I should create next? #polymerclayartist #polymerclay #viralvideo #foryoupage #fyp
Creating these pancake keychains has been such a rewarding experience for me as a polymer clay artist. The process of stacking the pancakes and carefully adding the tiny details like feet holes really brings the charm to life. One trick I found helpful is pre-making small slices of strawberries and blueberries to decorate on top, which adds a pop of color and realism. I also loved experimenting with finishing touches. Using UV resin mixed with soft pastels gave my syrup a beautiful glossy look, and the addition of dripping details made the keychains stand out even more. Curing everything under a UV LED lamp ensured the pieces were durable and perfectly set. For anyone interested in making their own polymer clay keychains, my biggest advice is to be patient with the layering and details. It's easy to rush, but those little features like pink cheeks and chocolate chips make all the difference. Next, I’m thinking about turning other Jellycat characters into mini polymer clay keychains. They’re such a fun inspiration because of their adorable and unique designs. If you’re new to polymer clay art, starting with food-themed creations like pancakes can be a great way to practice basic shaping and decorating techniques before moving on to more complex figures.
