Friendly reminder to respect VAs, y’all 🤙 #simonghostriley #soapmactavish #callofduty #cosplay #voiceactors
As a cosplay enthusiast, one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had was meeting voice actors of my favorite characters. My cosplay helmet, proudly signed by Neil Ellice and Samuel Roukin—the voice actors for Soap and Ghost from Call of Duty—became a cherished item that constantly reminds me to appreciate the real people behind iconic characters. Voice actors (VAs) often bring depth and personality to characters, yet they don't always receive the recognition they deserve. Respecting VAs goes beyond acknowledging their work; it means supporting their craft and understanding the time and effort they invest in portraying beloved roles. In cosplay communities, celebrating VAs through signed gear or fan events strengthens the bond between fans and creators. It enriches the cosplay experience and inspires others to explore voice acting as a career or hobby. Participating in conventions where VAs appear gives fans a unique opportunity to engage directly, fostering appreciation and mutual respect. Maintaining respectful conduct and showing genuine enthusiasm helps ensure these interactions are positive. For fellow fans and cosplayers, I encourage honoring voice actors by respecting their work, attending panels when possible, and sharing positive feedback. This not only uplifts the VAs but also encourages the continued creation of captivating characters in games like Call of Duty and beyond.
