Nepal always shows up in my day 🤩✨🇳🇵
Living between two cultures offers a rich and unique experience that shapes daily life in unexpected ways. As someone deeply connected to Nepal while residing in Los Angeles, my days often reflect a blend of traditions and modern city life. Morning usually starts with a peaceful moment, sometimes involving a video call with family or a quick check of my journal app to organize thoughts and plan the day. The weather in LA, quite similar to certain parts of Nepal, helps me feel connected to home even thousands of miles away. Taking my puppy for a walk in the fresh air is a cherished part of the routine, providing a time to reflect and enjoy the outdoors. Balancing health and wellness is important too. Recently, I had a blood test appointment, which reminded me to prioritize self-care amid busy schedules. It's comforting to carry on family traditions and values, keeping those connections alive whether through calls, meals like traditional chai, or sharing special moments such as birthdays with loved ones. Daily errands like visiting Trader Joe's blend seamlessly with cultural rituals, showcasing how diverse life in LA can be for someone who proudly identifies as Nepali. This fusion creates a vibrant, meaningful life experience where each day offers new moments to appreciate both my heritage and present surroundings. Sharing this journey through daily vlogs and social media not only preserves my story but also connects with others navigating similar cultural bridges. It’s a beautiful reminder that wherever we are, our roots and present realities together shape who we are and how we move through the world.
