The mental challenges of becoming homeless

#Lemon8Diary #lemon8diarychallenge so here’s how we’re preparing mentally! My boyfriend Logan has been homeless before so he’s kinda already mentally ready for it, I however have never been homeless. We like to camp a lot and we’ve talked about doing van life but we always thought we’d do it at our own pace instead of being forced into it. Not going to lie I have been racked with anxiety about all of this I’m super terrified to do all of this, but Logan is like a lifesaver when my anxiety starts to get to me he has been so great at calming me down talking me through it step by step. We are constantly researching what we need to do and what we need to make it possible. Our biggest challenge is definitely me right now and how anxious and scared I get about this. But there’s really no reason to be, we live in Arkansas and under the state law we can stay at rest stops problem is the closest one puts us into a bind for travelling to work and that’s another problem we only have his car. I work at a super toxic place too that has completely ruined my mental health so on top of becoming homeless we also need to find me a new job close to his with almost the same hours as him. It’s a struggle but we’re struggling together. And I know what you might say you’ve got 60 days after a lease break you’ve got time to find somewhere, but with every place we find in our price range there’s the money aspect of it too, which I’ll be sharing with you guys tomorrow till next time good luck out there everyone!
