Akhirnya… aku memilih pergi.” 💔

In my personal experience, deciding to leave a relationship is never an easy choice. Like many, I tried to hold on, believing that love meant enduring the pain. But over time, I found that staying in a relationship where one feels alone and exhausted can erode happiness and self-worth. What struck me the most was the realization that real love isn’t supposed to feel suffocating or lonely. When both partners stop growing together and the emotional distance widens, it can make even the strongest people feel helpless. I remember nights filled with tears and soul-searching, understanding that clinging to something broken wasn’t love—it was pain disguised as commitment. The phrase from the story, “Akhirnya aku memilih pergi,” resonated deeply with me. It means "Finally, I choose to leave," and it symbolizes empowerment and self-care. Leaving does not always mean the end of love; sometimes it’s the beginning of finding the right kind of love — love that brings peace, support, and understanding. After parting ways, I met someone new who made me realize that love should never make you feel isolated. This new relationship taught me to embrace healing and to value emotional well-being above all. It's important to remember that sometimes, separation is a necessary step on the journey to a better, more loving future. If you find yourself struggling to decide whether to stay or leave, know that accepting discomfort isn't love. Healing starts when you prioritize your happiness and surround yourself with people who respect and cherish you. Love should be a source of strength, not exhaustion.
