My loads morph too. Because I do not have enough of one color to do a load. So I started wearing the same color for 2-3 days so I can do that load. then switch to another color. When my kids were younger we had color days where we all wore the same color. Came from an old film I watched as a kid, Cheeper by the Dozen, what a fabulous movie. It spoke to all of us, we had 11 kids in my family.

I’m old. I still separate by colors then a load of towels. I always fold clothes right out of the dryer and put on hangers to be hung. If not straight to the closet, then on the rack over my washer and dryer. If for some reason life gets busy and that doesn’t happen, they stay in the dryer and no more laundry is done until I can. If they’ve sat in the dryer I turn it on to reduce wrinkles then fold and put away. I’ve seen some people throw a load in a basket and there they sit. And my personal favorite (NOT!!!) is when some throw the clothes from the dryer to a chair that isn’t used often then the family picks through it to find something to wear. I don’t know why, but it drives me nuts. It’s not my laundry so it shouldn’t… but it does. I came from a large family so everything had to have order. But, Everyone has their own system and that’s ok. I’m working on myself in acknowledging this. 🤪. And for the record… I’m a hotmess express over here at times. Not everything is orderly. I’m sure there are some things that visitors see and think, “oh my word why does she do xyz….?”. I love your beautiful home btw. ♥️
