Tekken series: Devil Jin
Hey everyone! 👋 As a huge Tekken fan, I've always been captivated by Devil Jin – his raw power and iconic Devil form just make him one of the most exciting characters to play. I wanted to share some of my personal insights and go through some must-know Devil Jin Moves, especially for those looking to really unleash his potential in Tekken 8. Think of this as my 'Part 1' guide to getting started with this incredible fighter! First off, let's talk about what makes his Devil form so menacing. When Jin transforms, he gains access to a whole new set of devastating attacks and enhanced properties on existing ones. It's not just for show; activating his Devil form at the right moment can completely turn the tide of a match. I usually try to save it for when I need to break an opponent's momentum or secure a round. The damage boost and the added pressure you can put on your opponent are just insane. Learning when to use it is as crucial as knowing what to do once you're in it. Now, onto some of my go-to Devil Jin Moves. You absolutely have to get comfortable with his lasers – specifically, his f,F+2 (Hellfire Blast) and d/b+2 (Demon Steel Fist), which can be followed up. These are fantastic for keeping opponents at bay or punishing whiffs from a distance. The Hellfire Blast is particularly satisfying to land! Another essential is his uf+4 (Demon's Breath), a quick hopkick that’s great for launching opponents into air combos. Don't forget his classic b+1+4 (Corpse Thrust) for a powerful, mid-hitting launcher that's surprisingly quick. These are staples in my game. For basic combos, once you land a launcher like uf+4 or b+1+4, you can often follow up with d/f+1, 2, 2 or even a simple 1, 1, 2 to get some solid damage before a ground hit. Experimenting with his flying attacks like u/f+3+4 (Devilish Slash) after a launch can add some flair and extra damage, too. It’s all about finding what feels natural for you and what your opponent isn’t expecting. The beauty of Tekken is in its depth, and Devil Jin truly embodies that with his diverse arsenal. Mastering Devil Jin takes practice, but it's incredibly rewarding. I've spent countless hours in the lab just trying out different move variations and combo extensions, and trust me, it pays off. Don't be afraid to experiment, watch pro players, and most importantly, have fun with it! These are just a few starting points for understanding his Devil form and some of his key moves. There's so much more to explore, but I hope this 'Part 1' helps you on your journey to becoming a Devil Jin master. Let me know what your favorite Devil Jin moves are in the comments!
