What unhealed wounds were attracting chaos? This was crucial for healing my nervous system, learning to self-regulate, and truly choosing peace over familiar, yet toxic, dynamics. Raising My Standards (and Sticking to Them!): This isn't about being picky; it's about knowing your worth. I got clear on what I truly needed in a partner – not just chemistry, but safety, respect, emotional maturity, and shared values. And then, here's the tough part: I actually started saying 'no' to anything that didn't meet those standards, even if it meant more time in solitude. This taught me to trust my intuition, which I'd often silenced before. Cultivating a Rich Inner Life: Before finding my partner, my life was already full. I focused on my passions, friendships, career, and personal growth. I built a life I loved, so a partner would be an addition, not a necessity to complete me. This meant I wasn't desperate or codependent, which is a game-changer when attracting healthy love. Embracing Feminine Leadership: For me, this meant stepping into my power, setting boundaries, and leading with my heart rather than constantly trying to control outcomes. It's about trusting the process and surrendering to divine timing, knowing that when I'm aligned, what's meant for me won't pass me by. Many of you wonder, 'how long is this waiting period?' There’s no fixed timeline, and that's the beauty of it. It's as long as it needs to be for you to do the work. It took me until 33, but honestly, every single moment of refining myself, healing old patterns, and choosing peace was worth it. When someone asks me about 'real love,' I tell them about the art of waiting because it's through this process that you learn to give and receive truly unconditional love, not based on craving or codependency, but on authentic connection and respect. If you're in your own 'waiting period,' remember it's a sacred time. Use it to become the most amazing, aligned version of yourself. The love you're seeking is also seeking you, and it will find you when you're ready to receive it. Keep doing that deep, soul-level work – it's the foundation for everything beautiful that's coming!
