🥪What’s the Scoop? Ice cream shop 🍦❣️

Today for lunch we went back to one of the very first places my bf and I went on a date when we first got together. It’s in Lecanto FL which is over by his mom’s house so it’s always sweet to see it when we come up here. Today we decided to have it again!

He got a root beer float and a chili cheese dog and I got a Carmel truffle milkshake and a BBQ pulled pork sandwich (twas freaking gas btw)

This little restaurant is a American/Colombian owned shop and it has its own little funk to it that’s super inviting and sweet and it’s lowkey like a 50’s diner style which is super cute

While 'What's the Scoop?' in Lecanto, FL, might not have that exact item on their menu, let me tell you, you can absolutely craft your own 'scoop-filled' masterpiece here! This charming American/Colombian owned shop is a paradise for anyone craving delicious ice cream and classic diner fare. Imagine building your perfect sundae with generous scoops of your favorite ice cream flavors, just like the vintage signs for 'sundaes' you'll spot on their walls suggest. They have a fantastic selection, ensuring every scoop is a delight! Beyond building your own, their milkshakes are truly legendary. I can personally vouch for the Carmel truffle milkshake – it was pure bliss! Each frothy sip, often served in a clear cup with their iconic 'What's the Scoop?' logo and little American and Colombian flags, is a creamy, dreamy experience. If you’re a fan of classic drinks, my boyfriend raved about his root beer float, perfectly topped and irresistible, all served on those classic red and white checkered tables. These aren't just drinks; they're handcrafted dessert experiences, packed with flavor. The atmosphere at 'What's the Scoop?' is half the fun. Stepping inside is like a delightful trip back in time to a 50's diner. The interior walls are adorned with charming vintage-style signs advertising hot dogs, sundaes, and hamburgers, complete with Colombian flags strung across the top, showcasing their unique heritage. You'll even see a vibrant red neon-style sign that proudly declares "What's the Scoop?" against a gorgeous green hedge wall outside, making it an easy spot to find in Lecanto, FL. It’s truly a local gem that combines nostalgic American diner vibes with a touch of Colombian warmth. But it’s not just about the sweets! Their savory options are just as amazing. Picture a mouth-watering chili cheese dog, smothered in melted yellow cheese and savory chili, served on classic black and white checkered paper – it's comfort food at its best. Or, if you're like me, you'll fall in love with their BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Tender, saucy pulled pork piled high on a toasted bun – it was absolute gas! The fusion of American classics with hints of Colombian flavor makes every bite an adventure. It’s a perfect spot for a casual lunch, a nostalgic date, or a sweet treat with friends and family. Next time you’re in Lecanto, FL, make sure to pop into 'What's the Scoop?' for an unforgettable meal and a scoop (or two!) of happiness!
