Waikiki is filled with tourists and to be honest, I think it’s the worst place to experience Hawaii. Instead, you don’t even have to leave the island, just head to these places on the island of Oahu instead:
Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden - look at this beauty! Walk or drive through these botanical gardens and have your mind blown. It truly left me speechless and made me truly appreciate Mother Nature.
Makapuʻu Tide Pools - who doesn’t love tide pools? Enjoy some little critters but definitely watch out for them sea urchins!
Pali Notches - one of the hardest and scariest hikes I’ve ever done, but worth it! Do your research before going, but very much worth it to me. So is any hike on the island!
