Mark 5:3-5
[3] He lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain, [4] for he had often been bound with shackles and chains, but he wrenched the chains apart, and he broke the shackles in pieces. No one had the strength to subdue him. [5] Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always crying out and cutting himself with stones.
* There were a Legion of demons that called his mind "home".
Double, triple, quadruple bondage
A deep dark hole, black like the night
A torment so uncontrollable, that it defied all laws of physics
A darkness, so absolute and confusing, Hell would be a relief
And a rage so real, he would rip his own limbs off just to be set free!
His blood turned to ice...just to keep from hemorrhaging from the cuts he made to distract the pain.
His days were filled with misery, and his nights were filled with grief. The God they say is real, he thought a bluff aimed at minds too fragile to accept reality.
For who would create a masterpiece and let it rot in a dungeon? What God where? He cried out, in a lifetime's, world of regret
He can't even kill himself, his pain has become his addiction 💔 all while the demons dance with delight, inside his head.
Is it a tragedy or is it fate? Or did tragedy lead to fate? What did I do to deserve such an awful existence? Answer me that you calloused elitists, you agents of oppression!
"Legion" was an outcast, a man suffering total estrangement with superhuman despair.
Until a sudden, irrational flicker of Light,
a desperate Hope answered his call...
"And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and fell down before him." Mark 5:6
Sometimes we're in so deep all we we can see is misery, we can't even escape into our own imaginations! For times like this there's Jesus. We knock at the door and Jesus reveals Himself! He was there all along but His promise was falling on deaf ears!
Jeremiah 29:11-13
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart."
I thank you, God that I have you, that You saved me from myself! Thank you for finding the others who saw the Light as well. Please help me find those who were not listening and let's bring them home as well. Life is not worth living without Your promise of a coming day!
